Why?

Certificates require upkeep to remain valid. Mosyle has three you need to keep up with:

  1. Push Certificate
  2. Apple School Manager
  3. Volume Purchase Program

The fact that these are all necessary is a bit annoying for our small districts, but it makes sense when you consider that ASM is also built to scale for large districts which may have separate VPP budgets and ASM/DEP requirements. It's not a bad idea to keep them all synced up by renewing them all at the same time, but you don't have to.

How?

  1. Push Certificate
    • My School> Basic Setup> Push Certificate> ...take note of the Apple ID in bold above the Renew button...> Renew
    • Follow all written instructions. Don't skip them, just read it all!
  2. Apple School Manager
    • My School> Basic Setup> Apple School Manager> Click on your account> Click here to renew or replace the account token
    • Follow the instructions. Any administrator of your schools ASM account can do this, it doesn't have to be the same account every time.
  3. Volume Purchase Program
    • Management> Apple Apps and Books (VPP)> Edit (next to your account)> Click here to renew or replace the account token
    • Log into ASM, and follow the instructions. Any administrator of your schools ASM account can do this, it doesn't have to be the same account every time.
